Acceptable Use Policy

Use of an @gtfan.buzz email address does NOT imply:

• official university status
• student verification
• alumni verification
• employment verification
• department authorization
• athletic department authorization
• endorsement
• sponsorship
• approval by Georgia Institute of Technology

gtfan.buzz is an independent fan-based project.

Users may NOT use any @gtfan.buzz email address, alias, display name, signature, website, social profile, or communication to falsely represent or imply that they are:

• an official representative of Georgia Institute of Technology
• an official employee
• an official department
• an official athletics representative
• an official student organization
• an official alumni organization
• an official admissions, recruiting, financial aid, NIL, ticketing, housing, legal, security, or university office
• any person or entity authorized to act on behalf of Georgia Institute of Technology

Any account attempting to represent itself as official will be immediately disabled, deleted, and permanently banned without refund.

gtfan.buzz may immediately disable, delete, suspend, revoke, or permanently ban any account, identity, alias, or user involved in:

• impersonation
• phishing
• scams
• spam
• fraud
• trademark misuse
• official-looking misrepresentation
• social engineering
• harassment
• illegal activity
• abuse of the email platform
• reputational harm to gtfan.buzz or any third party

Enforcement may occur without prior notice and without refund.

All requested @gtfan.buzz identities are subject to manual review and approval. During signup, users may submit up to three preferred identity choices. Approval is NOT guaranteed for any requested identity.

gtfan.buzz reserves the right to:

• deny requested identities
• restrict certain names
• reserve premium or protected identities
• reject names that create confusion
• reject names that appear official
• reject names that create impersonation risk
• assign a similar available identity when submitted choices are unavailable, restricted, protected, denied, or already in use

Examples of possible assigned alternatives:

Payment does NOT guarantee approval of a specific requested identity.

gtfan.buzz may reserve, restrict, deny, revoke, or price separately any identity that may be:

• premium
• short
• high-demand
• official-sounding
• department-related
• athletics-related
• student-service-related
• recruiting-related
• media-related
• support-related
• trademark-sensitive
• impersonation-risk
• operationally necessary

Examples include, but are not limited to:

Approval of any identity does not grant ownership, trademark rights, official status, or permanent control if legal, operational, or abuse concerns arise.

Due to the custom and limited nature of @gtfan.buzz identities, all memberships and identity requests are subject to manual review and provisioning. Users may request cancellation prior to account approval and provisioning.

Once an account has been approved, provisioned, assigned an identity, assigned aliases, granted founder status, or activated, all sales become final and non-refundable.

This includes:

• denied preferred username requests
• assignment of similar approved identities
• premium name restrictions
• policy enforcement actions
• account suspensions resulting from violations of this AUP

gtfan.buzz reserves the right to deny refunds in cases involving abuse, impersonation, spam, fraud, or violations of this policy.

Each active membership account includes one complimentary identity modification request per calendar year.

The requested modification:

• must be available
• must pass manual approval
• must not be reserved
• must not be restricted
• must not violate this AUP
• must not create impersonation, trademark, legal, or operational risk

Additional modification requests beyond the included annual change may require additional fees. gtfan.buzz may deny any modification request at its sole discretion.

Users may not use @gtfan.buzz services for:

• spam
• phishing
• malware
• scams
• fraud
• harassment
• threats
• illegal activity
• copyright infringement
• trademark infringement
• deceptive marketing
• unauthorized bulk email
• resale of accounts
• evading bans
• domain reputation abuse
• misleading fundraising
• false sponsorship claims
• fake ticketing or event sales
• fake employment, recruiting, admissions, or university communications

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.

Users may not:

• share login credentials
• sell accounts without approval
• transfer accounts without approval
• allow others to abuse their account
• use weak or compromised passwords
• ignore security warnings

gtfan.buzz may suspend accounts that appear compromised or abused.

All accounts remain subject to review.

gtfan.buzz reserves the right to:

• approve accounts
• deny accounts
• suspend accounts
• delete accounts
• revoke aliases
• revoke founder status
• restrict usernames
• block future access
• cooperate with abuse reports, legal requests, service providers, or law enforcement when necessary

gtfan.buzz may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time.

Continued use of any @gtfan.buzz service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
